Why rent a villa or apartment
rather than stay in a hotel?
There are many reasons: -
Something Different
1. Many of our guests travel extensively for business spending
a great part of their lives in sterile impersonal hotel rooms.
So more of the same just isn't their idea of a dream vacation
- more of a busman's holiday!
Privacy and Comfort
2. A villa and apartment offers you, your family and friends more
space, more comfort, more informality, more privacy, and more
personalized service than any hotel. The whole villa or apartment
is there exclusively for you, and you don't have to share anything
with other tourists.
Better Value
3. Renting a villa and apartment through Lazydays in Goa can be
much better value. When calculated on a per bedroom or per person
basis and considering all the "extras" you'd have to pay for in
a hotel, a villa vacation is often much cheaper than staying at
one of the better hotels or resorts. Expenses for drinks, snacks
and laundry etc. are very low, while in a hotel they can easily
double or triple your spending money.
Home Comfort
4. Even more important, taking a villa and apartment
vacation is like relaxing in your own private home in Goa.
Individual Attention
5. In a hotel however hard the staff try to make you feel welcome
the fact is you are just one of many. With a villa and apartment
holiday you have individual attention from Lazydays staff, you
will also find that you will have opportunity of feeling part
of the local community and be part of everyday life a bonus that
hotel holidays can't offer.

What kind of accommodation
can I choose from?
Our properties range from traditional houses in sleepy coastal
villages to highly individual villas and apartments each with
their own charm and appeal. Our emphasis is on quality accommodation.
The number of properties in our portfolio is limited as only a
few villas in Goa meet our high standards. Each villa and apartment
has been carefully selected and represents good value.
APARTMENTS
We have Studio, 1 and 2 bedroom apartments some are in private
houses, some are in a small private residential development and
one or two are in a small resort. Most apartments all have
access to a shared garden, are privately owned, comfortably furnished
and well decorated.
VILLAS
We also have a wide and varied range of villas with 2, 3, 4 or
5 bedrooms. Some are suitable for large families and groups and
can accommodate up to 10 guests. Some are perfect for corporate
entertainment others have a charming simplicity. Some have a swimming
pool others are right on the beach and the rest are no more than
10 minutes stroll to the sea. Some are traditional, antique filled,
cottages others are newly built. Some have a charming simplicity
and local style others are 5 star luxury. All are set in beautiful
gardens and surrounded by an abundance of tropical plants and
flowers.

How do I choose the right villa?
All villas in our portfolio have been designed and built according
to the taste and requirements of their individual owners - so
each is unique and has its own character. We know each villa in
detail and are happy to help you select the villa best suited
to YOUR particular needs.
Therefore, you should let us have details of those travelling
with you. It's not enough just to know the number of bedrooms
required. The type of vacation you plan is another important factor
in choosing your ideal villa. Do you want to spend a quiet time
with your family, or will you be doing any entertaining? Perhaps
you plan an intimate vacation with your spouse, or you may have
business associates visiting and staying with you.
By completing and returning our enquiry
form early as you can, you help us to suggest the accommodation
which we believe will suit your needs best. The earlier you start
the selection process the better the chance that the villa of
your choice is still available.

How comfortable are these
villas and apartments?
We only feature properties that are furnished and equipped to
a high standard. All properties are well maintained and comfortably
furnished with sufficient seating for the stated number. We have
added those little extras that make your stay as lazy and as comfortable
as possible including comfortable mattresses and soft pillows,
plug in mosquito machines and garden furniture.
All bedrooms and living areas have, as standard, ceiling fans.
As all our properties are self-catering kitchens are usually equipped
with as a minimum a 2 ring gas burner and refrigerator and all
the normal cooking utensils as well as the right number of glasses,
crockery and cutlery. Lucindo and the Azul apartments are equipped
with electric hotplates, fridges and sufficient kitchen equipment
for the preparation of light meals, snacks and drinks.
All bathrooms have running water, western style flush toilets
and hot water showers. Properties are cleaned everyday except
Sunday and the linen and towels are changed twice or three times
weekly. An iron and ironing board are provided except in the Azul
Studio and 1 Bedroom Apartment, Lucindo and Quero's Manzil, where
a laundry service is available.

What about Lazydays staff?
All Lazydays staff are local Goans with the exception of the Directors,
who are English, and have a very 'hands on' approach to running
the company and who will meet you shortly after your arrival.
It is difficult to find a Goan who is not friendly, helpful and
cheerful and our staff are no exception. All have been picked
for their sunny disposition, honesty and reliability and all are
English speaking. Our maids each look after a property and care
for them as if they were their own. As well as keeping your holiday
home as spotlessly clean you will find they will be a valuable
source of local knowledge, information and advice.

What kind of service
can I expect from Lazydays in Goa?
Before Departure
We will try to help you in your choice of accommodation and be
honest with you when helping you choose the right villa or apartment
for the type of holiday you are hoping for. We would rather get
it right before you come than have dissatisfied customers in Goa.
Once booked you will receive information about arriving in Goa
together with the details of our local office.
On Arrival
You'll be met on arrival in Goa either at the airport, railway
station or other designated point by one of our drivers. You will
then be transferred by taxi to your villa. On the day of arrival
you will receive a short briefing from our staff so you are aware
of how the house works. Each house and apartment is supplied with
its 'Holiday guide and property handbook' that gives general information
on how to get the best out of your holiday, what to expect from
your accommodation and the services we provide, together with
our local address and telephone number. It also contains a guide
to the area, local restaurants and places of interest. We provide
a complimentary starter pack of basic household items that includes
matches, candles, toilet paper, washing up liquid, cloths, washing
powder.
To make your first day more relaxing why not order our optional
'grocery hamper'. We will shop for you before your arrival and
your refrigerator will be stocked with an initial supply of soft
drinks, juices and mixers; bottled mineral water, beer, coffee
and tea; eggs, bread, butter and cheese; fruit and vegetables.
During Your Stay
The house staff will take care of all routine chores such as washing
dishes, cleaning the premises, maintaining the garden (and pool),
changing bed linen and towels, handling light laundry (or arrange
a laundry service) and where a cook is provided - shopping for
groceries too. We live in Goa and have a lot of local knowledge
and along with our friendly team of maids and drivers are able
to offer as much advice and information as you need. We will understand
if you want to do your own thing, but if you need us we are only
a phone call away. We do not provide a rep service, neither do
we 'sell' trips and tours. We can however steer you in the right
direction if you ask us to.

What extras do I have to pay
in a villa or apartment?
All our holidays are self-catering and therefore you will pay
extra for all food and beverages that you consume. You will have
the freedom to choose whether you eat out in one of the many and
varied restaurants or eat in.
If you choose a property that includes the services of a cook
you pay extra for the ingredients the cook has to buy to prepare
your meals, and for the drinks you consume. You can either let
your household staff do the shopping, or you can make a trip to
one of Goa's colourful markets yourself.
All light laundry done in-house is free but you will need to provide
the washing powder. A charge will be made for any laundry service.
Please bring your own beach towels as these are not supplied.
All gas and electricity charges are included in the rental price
and where there is a telephone all local calls are complimentary
however if you carry your laptop computer on holiday to use in
your villa we will charge a facility charge of £10 to cover the
additional telephone costs. This is payable locally on arrival.
Please note that where there is a telephone we cannot advise on
whether there is a jack plug or if it will be compatible with
your laptop.

When is the best time
to visit Goa?
There are basically 3 distinct seasons in Goa : the Wet, the Dry
and the Hot
The Wet
The South West Monsoon starts May/June and brings heavy rainfall
of up to 3 ½ metres over the next 3 months. This time of
the year finds Goa at its most colourful and freshest (and quietest).
The beaches are windswept, rainlashed and deserted and there are
very few hotels and restaurants open.
The Hot
In the two months either side of the monsoon Late April and May
and September early October the humidity is at its worst and the
temperature can reach 35ºC and very few tourist facilities
are available. In October there is still also the chance of some
monsoon rain but it is likely to only be the occasional shower
and the sea is also unsuitable for swimming due to the strong
under current.
The Dry
From Mid October to Mid April Goa has a near perfect climate.
October can still be a little humid with the chance of some rain
and for this reason many of the seasonal restaurants open later
in the month. Swimming in the sea is also not recommended due
to the strong under current. Direct Charter Holiday flights from
Europe start this month. November sees the humidity dropping and
the start of long sunny days with a temperature around 30ºC
and pleasantly 'cool' evenings of around 25ºC. This continues
until April with December January and February being the most
popular, and therefore busiest months. During this time the days
are hot and evenings cool the beaches are perfect and swimming
is safe.
